DIVISION "A" - Flowers

In classes for Daffodils and Narcissi - Trumpet Daffodil shall mean having a trumpet as long as, or longer than the perianth (petals). Large Cup shall mean more than one-third the length of the perianth (petals), and Small Cup up to one-third the length of the perianth (petals).

2 Daffodil, trumpet, 1 specimen bloom, white
3 Daffodil, trumpet. 1 specimen bloom, bi-colour
4 Daffodil, large cup, 1 specimen bloom.
5 Daffodil, small cup or poeticus, 1 specimen bloom.
6 Daffodils, trumpet. 3 blooms, one or more varieties.
7 Daffodils, large cup, 3 blooms, one or more varieties.
8 Daffodils, small cupped or poeticus, 3 blooms, one or more varieties.
9 Daffodils, multi-flowered, 3 stems.
10 Daffodils, miniature, vase of 3 stems.
11 Daffodils, types not enumerated above, 3 blooms.
12 Daffodils, any one variety, 3 blooms.
13 Tulips (single), trumpet, 3 blooms, one or more varieties.
14 Tulips (double), trumpet, 3 blooms, one or more varieties.
15 Wallflowers, vase of 5 stems.
16 Polyanthus or primroses (outdoor grown), 5 stems.
17 Auriculas, bowl or vase of 3 stems.
18 Hyacinth cut flower(s) garden grown.
19 Flowering Shrub or Trees, 3 sprays, one or more varieties.
20 Vase of any other floral exhibit not provided for, garden grown.
21 Vase of any other floral exhibit not provided for, greenhouse grown.
22 Camellia, specimen bloom, single.
23 Camellia, specimen bloom, double or semi-double.
24 Alpine or rock plant, growing in container.
25 A bowl of Hyacinths (not cut flowers).
26 A trained pot plant.
27 Pot Plant, in flower, not included in the above.
28 Pot Plant, foliage only, not included in the above.

 

DIVISION "B" - Vegetables

29 Onions, 3 of one variety, grown and stored by the exhibitor.
30 Potatoes, 3 of one variety, grown and stored by the exhibitor.
31 Broccoli, sprouting, 2 heads.
32 Lettuce, 2 of one variety.
33 Rhubarb, 5 sticks, leaves trimmed.
34 Any other vegetable not mentioned above.

 
DIVISION "C" - Floral Art

No arrangement to exceed 550mm. in width.
Any foliage may be used. Classes 35, 37, 38 and 39 to be arranged for frontal effect.

DIVISION "D" - Household Section
Containers must not bear a proprietary name, label or pattern of manufacture of the original contents. All exhibits must be entirely home made. No nuts.

43 A jar of lemon curd.
44 A jar of chutney.
45 A savoury flan.
46 A custard tart.
47 A bottle of home-made wine - dry - named, dated and labelled.
48 A bottle of home-made wine - medium - named, dated and labelled.
49 A bottle of home-made wine - sweet - named, dated and labelled.
50 A jar of marmalade.
51 A coffee sponge - iced.
52 5 cheese scones.
53 A bread pudding.
54 Shortbread - 6 pieces.
55 Rice salad.
 
DIVISION “E" - Children's Section

56 An arrangement of spring flowers.

58 A computer artwork
59 A Persian carpet made from pulses, seeds, and plant material.
60 A bird scarer
61 6 biscuits.
62 6 fancy cakes.
63 A drawing or painting "The Common".
   
 

DIVISION "F" - Craft Section
Craft must be new, unworn and exhibited for the first time.
Exhibitors to state if exhibits are machine made or from kits.

64 A home made toy.
65 An exhibit of knitting, (not a toy).
66 An exhibit of embroidery, unframed.
67 An exhibit of sewing, (not a toy).
68 A hand-made wood or metal article (please indicate size on entry form).
69 A baby garment.
70 A photograph “Me and my friend”
71 An exhibit from any other craft or pastime

   
 

Note: Children's section - exhibits must be child's own work and may have been produced in or out of school. Age must be stated on the entry form and exhibit. Craft must be new, and exhibited for the first time. All classes will be split into two groups: under 9 years and 9 to 16 years. Children must arrange their own exhibits at the Show,
